Performing Idea

PhD Research

Performance Matters incorporates two funded PhD projects that are being developed by Augusto Corrieri (Roehampton University) and Owen Parry (Goldsmiths, University of London). Both researchers are engaged in practice-as-research processes in relation to the respective themes of Performing Idea and Trashing Performance, and are assisting the Performance Matters organisers on curatorial work for the project. As Performance Matters Researchers they have organised a series of events with the Associate Researchers including a public Creative Research Laboratory at A Foundation, a Performing Idea Forum at Whitechapel Gallery, and a Trashing Performance Seminar and Workshop at Live Art Development Agency.

Performance Matters includes a large and diverse community of PhD Associate Researchers based in the two London universities
